United Community is an over 50-year-old nonprofit offering an array of human services that lifts families in Fairfax County out of poverty. We engage community voice and family participation to break the cycle of generational poverty.

Our vision is to end multigenerational poverty.

Volunteers: Serve hungry families by sorting, stocking and distributing food. Support annual food drives and other seasonal drives.Assist with fundraising activities. Provide translation assistance. And more! All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age for in-person opportunities. Volunteer ages 16 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
